It turns out this is probably related to a small bug that was fixed a while ago. Not the "leave guild hall" thing, but a glitch that we believe was corrected a few weeks back. (You can see the reference in the Update Notes I believe.) We're looking into the matter to make sure all possible aspects of this are closed, but we do believe they. I may have more info tomorrow.
No major glitch.
No dupes.
No rollback.

Woh there fella. Calm down. High end mini pets in presearing; its not the end of the world, nor does it affect you in any way, shape or form. As long as we don't revert to the old Presear bug, we will be just fine...
The Armbrace duping, yes, is a serious issue, but bugs happen, greedy people find loopholes/exploits. Happens all the time all around the world with ANYthing. Anet is working on it, made obvious by the discontinuation of reconnects. AND...

Thanks for reassuring us Gaile! Despite this being a backseat glitch, its nice to see that even this small matter is being taken care of. Btw, your last lines of "No mjor glitch, No dupes, No rollback" is a wittle bit dangerous! I just might have to quote you to all the non-beleivers! LOL!
Oh ya, and i'll be taking that whole cookie tray, thank YOU!
cheers.

No offense but I thought Gaile knew all about GW even without her first
So close to Eye of the north why NOW?

i'm more worried about the tomes than the mallyx. but if they can figure out how to remove one item, might as well go the whole ten yards.

lot of people in the AM pre have a lot of gold, many have have been here for the last 2 years and have had time to make up that kind of gold via selling ale, black dye, charrbags and charr salvage kits. Presearing has a huge market for minipets, as a lot of people are coming back and want them now.

I'm guessing you mean people that don't have prophecies and only have one or the other. I'm sure there are lots of people with LDoA that have Canthans and Elonians. Canthabns and Elonians are toons so there's no such thing as fair or unfair for them. If people want the title, they can just buy the campaign. There's nothing really unfair there.

Wow, had no idea ol' berries and cream was so popular! I guess I'm forever branded with that creepy guy. LOL, fine with me! And yes, sometimes I do look like that when I post. Except without the frills. And the hair. And the face. But otherwise, yep, spitting image :P
Anyway, OT, the tomes is what I'm most concerned about, too. Max weapons are easy to get through the GoTY package (and preorders), minipets offer no advantage, runes/insignias/mods can now be salvaged, all that's left is skills - which is more important and useful than equipment, anyway. All instances of skill tomes should be removed from Pre, and all skills that can't be attained in Pre should be removed from the skillbars of those still in Pre (perhaps just made unavailable through a lock like PvE-only skills in PvP, until they go post).

It's extremely unlikely that it's an exe hack. If you read something about the functioning of Guild Wars thant you would know that all intelligent actions are done at the server side. The client just passes through your mouse clicks to the server where they are performed. The server overrules the client.
But this does not make a pre-searing glitch impossible. As suggested someone may have left a character in the guild hall from the old GuildHall access glitch, or there may be a new, unknown glitch like we saw with the possibility of item duplication.

i truly believe tomes i pre should be deleted. or event better. all non-presearing skills should be LOCKED so that even if someone used a tome or elite tome, that skill acquired is not not usable
